After investing crores of money and lots of renovations on roads to overcome potholes and drainage problems every year, BBMP is experimenting new thing to over complaints and bad roads, which caused due to heavy rains every year. In journey to make better roads and protecting from sewage and floods, BBMP has planned and experimenting this new techniques.To mention about rubber roads, they are not actually rubber, it's rubberised asphalt roads.
Rubberised asphalt is obtained by the incorporation of rubber in asphalt binder at certain conditions of time and temperature using either dry process or wet processes.
France was then given credit for installing the very first road with a rubberised bituminous surfacing material. The application of rubber-modified asphalt pavement later started in Alaska in 1979.
