Whatsapp will launch whatsapp payment first in Indian market.

Whatsapp the biggest online messaging platform now in race with on the go payment services. There already exists few major players in race, still whatsapp could win over all of them since it has very huge costumer base. Google Tez is also a major play in this race, as they have already won millions of customers all the way by attracting with good rewards, hope whatsapp will also have good reward system in beginning. And surprise is whatsapp is also launching it payment first in india like the Google Tez. Seems like india is major market for this segment. Also we have good numbers of well established players like paytm, free charge, mobikwik, phone pe and there are lot to mention.

Expected features would be similar to other payment apps.
  1. UPI based payments. (UNIFIED PAYMENT SERVICES)
  2. Initially will be having partnered with few banks.
  3. Send, request and receive money.
  4. All transactions will be or from phone number associated to upi or bank.
  5. Good rewards system would be there in beginning.
  6. Pay bills across different category.

Having said whatsapp has millions of users in India and it is not going to be new app like Tez or phone pe wallets, it is advantage as well as disadvantage in beginning, since it seems like win situation cause of huge whatsapp users, it is also may see difficulties of user finds loop hole and exploits. Get ready soon whatsapp payment will hit Indian playstore. Sadly iphone users has to wait for while for this feature.

Hopefully this whatsapp payment won’t reach the customised whatsapp (like whatsapp blue) in beginning stage.
